BE THE PILLAR
A pillar is anything or anyone with a particular quality that gives strong support in something or in a place.
Without pillars, buildings, bridges, structures, relationships and marriages can not stand firm. Have you considered yourself as a pillar.
Here are some qualities of a pillar.
A PILLAR IS A TRUE REPRESENTATIVE -2 Sam 18:18
“Now Absalom in his lifetime had taken and reared up for himself a pillar, which is in the king’s dale for he said, I have no son to keep my name in remembrance and he called the pillar after his own name and it is called into this day Absalom’s place.
As a pillar, you need to be a true representative of your life, career, business, family, relationship and marriage.
Your prayer life also determines if you are a true pillar or not.
A PILLAR GIVES SUPPORT
A house that has no pillars will not last. Your marriage can work if you give a full support. Your business can blossom if you constantly give your support. Your children can thrive in every area of their lives if you can support them morally, financially, prayerfully etc.
A PILLAR IS RELIABLE
One of the good qualities of a pillar is being reliable. A pillar should be dependable or trustworthy. A pillar must not shake or break when relied on. A pillar is strong enough to take pressures. Some Christian folks today can’t handle pressures. As a pillar, you have to be strong so you will be able to handle issues in your family, place of work, relationship and marriage.
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might” -Eph 6:10
A PILLAR IS A PLACE OF COVENANT- Gen 35:14&15
Every Christian who is also a pillar must have established one covenant or the other with God. Hence, this covenant should be maintained with steadfast closeness to God. This place of Covenant is also God’s house.
“And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house” – Gen 28:22a.
Pillars are found in temples and altars. Make up your mind as a boss, worker, leader, husband, wife, son, daughter to be the pillar that will ensure that things work out. Don’t forget that as a pillar, you should control things through prayers.
